Best Practice – For the Conference Deprived

Its the season of conferences and conventions again.  With the kickoff for many being the National Genealogical Society big one.

Well for a best practice for those of us who have not the funding, travel time nor even the ability to belong to societies.

  • Circulate amongst the smaller groups, network with people that attend and glean info from them.
  • Subscribe to as many genealogical journals and magazines as your budget will allow.
  • Subscribe or link to news sources like the GenealogyInsider, Geneablogger and others.

The best thing to do to get over this deprivation from genealogy conferences and conventions is to learn something new.
