This historic cemetery has been around since 1852.  From the virtual visitation just made I’d say this little cemetery has alot of heart in it.

Elmwood Cemetery Website

As one of the largest cemeteries in the United States – rivaled probably by only Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis Indiana and Arlington National Cemetery.  With over 75,000 burials this garden like cemetery has seen alot of the Memphis and Tennessee history makers interred within its gates.

Please take a look at the gallery photos, video and the audio presentations they have.  The history of the place and the care they give especially by Todd Fox the superintendent in his work on repairs is awesome.

Garden lovers would enjoy seeing this place too with its gardens & arboretum – very gorgeous.  This place has over 3 structures on the National Register to boot.

Until next week – Have fun!
